Requirements

  • Proven experience of 5 years+ as a Business Analyst, preferably working with enterprise solutions within the gov tech sector
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation within government contexts
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with government clients, developers, and project teams
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and project management concepts
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and analyze data effectively
  • Proficiency in using requirement management tools and software documentation platforms
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to manage conflict and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with government clients and stakeholders to understand their specific processes, objectives, and challenges
  • Elicit, document, and prioritize clear and actionable requirements for STRS software implementations and enhancements within the gov tech sector
  • Utilize advanced SQL querying to analyze data and gain insights into government processes, aiding in requirements identification
  • Analyze and map current and future government processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams tailored to government agencies
  • Ensure that requirements are comprehensive, well-structured, and aligned with both government expectations and software capabilities
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of requirements within the gov tech context
  • Coordinate with software developers, project managers, and QA teams to accurately translate government business requirements into STRS software features
  • Participate in the testing and validation of software solutions for government agencies to ensure alignment with defined requirements and quality standards
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute test plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage of government-specific scenarios
