Join Branch International as a Staff Accountant and contribute to our mission of providing fair financial access globally. Reporting to the Senior Accountant in India, you will play a vital role in various accounting functions, including accounts payable, daily reconciliations, expense reviews, and general ledger reconciliations. This permanent role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience with NetSuite. You will be responsible for producing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and assisting with the annual external audit. Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Masters in finance or related areas
  • 1-2 years accounting experience in similar position
  • Hands on Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Self-motivated, creative
  • Super organized and results focused
  • Flexibility to work with team members in different time zones daily is essential

Responsibilities

  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for India covering disbursements, repayments, net cash, and third-party contracts
  • Prepare and record journal entries to support a timely month-end close using NetSuite
  • Analyse and complete assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Record cash and expense transactions, ensuring accurate categorization
  • Ensure consistent expense categorization for vendors
  • Assist in ensuring that all statutory dues are paid on time
  • Partner with various departments on accruals, vendor management and contracts management
  • Assist the team to ensure the preparation and communication of timely and accurate monthly financial and management reports
  • Assist with preparation of monthly cash projections
  • Assist with annual external audit, completing requested materials
