Summary

Join our internal finance team as a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant! This remote position involves managing the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple portfolio companies across various industries. You will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial statement preparation, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. Experience with NetSuite ERP is required, along with strong analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least two years of relevant experience. Real estate experience is a must, with experience in manufacturing and distribution strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-client or multi-entity environment
  • Real estate experience is a must
  • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP required
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Maintain full-cycle accounting for multiple portfolio companies (manufacturing, distribution, and real estate)
  • Record journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage AP/AR, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
  • Support audits and tax preparation processes in coordination with external auditors and tax advisors
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Utilize NetSuite to process and manage financial data across client entities
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably with experience in construction pay applications and bank draws
  • Industry experience in manufacturing and distribution strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a private equity or investment firm environment
  • Familiarity with consolidations and intercompany transactions
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
