Requirements
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- Must have 3+ years of accounting experience
- Ability to work independently and in teams, collaborating in a multi-cultural environment
- Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving all discrepancies promptly
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Perform variance analysis between actual results and budgeted and/or forecasted amounts
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for financial transactions
- Prepare and analyze reports for internal reporting
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules and post related monthly adjustments
- Prepare and file various tax returns and regulatory forms
- Prepare or assist with daily financial audits and reporting
- Assist in daily cash flow forecasting
- Process and analyze monthly rents for all store locations and record resulting lease transactions
- Maintain accurate lease records
- Facilitate the setup of new store locations by coordinating utility vendors, financial service providers and internal processes
- Support and assistance in projects for departmental enhancements and improvements
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and support
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail business background
- PowerBI or Data Warehouse Reporting experience
