Dorsia is seeking a Staff Accountant with 2-4 years of experience to own accounting activities and support financial reporting. Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting policies
- Strong general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, and systems knowledge
- Exceptional Google Sheet and Excel/financial modeling skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability and willingness to execute and build from the ground up, with a βno task too smallβ mindset
- Strong familiarity with US GAAP and ASC 606
- Experience using Quickbooks Online or similar accounting platform
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Responsibilities
- Own all accounting activities
- Build standardized financial and accounting processes and policies; strengthen internal controls
- Support the month-end close processes and financial statements for internal and external stakeholders; perform reconciliation of accounts on a monthly basis
- Perform budget vs. actuals reporting with key stakeholders
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Manage all of Treasury, inclusive of AR and AP activity
- Maintain our cash flow projections
- Manage Revenue and Expense functions, own our expense management platform (we use Ramp)
- Ensure proper US GAAP accounting procedures have been followed
- Assist with tax compliance and filing of quarterly and year end tax returns
- Partner with Legal on establishing any foreign entities
- Assist FinOps with reconciling payments via Stripe
- Help monitor financial performance metrics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Ramp, Carta, Looker (BI), Bill.com, Justworks are all a plus
