Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field required
- 2-5 years experience in a related finance and/or accounting role, preferably in a startup environment
- Strong accounting knowledge including US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to work both independently and with a collaborative team
- Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines
- Experience with Netsuite or other enterprise accounting ERP systems
- Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Index Match w/ Functions, Working with Large Data-sets)
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and document support for various financial statement line items including cash, revenue recognition, credit cards, payroll, prepaids and fixed assets
- Support weekly revenue and cost of goods sold accounting, reporting and KPI analysis
- Support cash forecasting, treasury management and reporting
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and work cross-functionally to resolve issues swiftly
- Manage the Company employee expense reimbursement and credit card reporting platform and support employees as the primary finance point of contact
- Engage with Financial Planning & Analysis team to contribute to budget and forecast cycles across the Balance Sheet and P&L
- Assist with preparation of the audited financial statements and coordination of supporting documentation for audit requests
- Contribute to accounting system enhancements and close optimization efforts
- Support development of risk and control matrices and documentation of control activities
- Other ad hoc projects as required
Preferred Qualifications
- E-commerce, CPG, DTC industry experience
- Public company experience (audit and/or industry roles)
- Inventory accounting experience
- CPA or CPA-track, preferably including public accounting experience
