Requirements

  • Possess a sound understanding of US GAAP and general ledger / month-end processes
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
  • Have experience with accounting software, preferably Quickbooks
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Have 1-3 years accounting experience

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for daily cash management; reconcile and maintain cash accounts (cash receipts / cash disbursements)
  • Oversee the credit card processing system (Stripe) for cash receipts
  • Oversee invoiced A/R and customer collections. Communicate with customers as needed / provide Purchase Orders if necessary
  • Manage vendor payments, A/P subledger, and communicate with vendors on payable matters
  • Manage internal employee travel & expense management (through Brex) and credit card expense policies
  • Assist HR team with payroll processing and variable compensation program calculation and system input
  • Play integral role in the month-end close process through ownership of certain accounts or processes
  • Support tax compliance process – various state & local, sales tax and VAT tax input
  • Work with and assist the Accounting Manager on all accounting & reporting needs
  • Play an active role in other aspects of finance & accounting: banking / treasury, risk / insurance, financing, tax, financial planning, investor relations, etc
  • Handle specific projects and other ad hoc assignments as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have public accounting experience
  • Be a CPA
