Summary

Join NewRocket, a global ServiceNow partner, as a Staff Accountant in our India-based remote team. You will collaborate with the finance team on diverse accounting and finance processes. Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate account entries, managing tax filings, handling day-to-day financial operations, and assisting in month-end processes. You will also conduct financial analyses, identify areas for process optimization, and partner with other departments. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of accounting experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Excel. Familiarity with Indian tax regulations and Microsoft D365 Financial Operations is preferred.

Requirements

  • Exceptional time management skills, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to high-level business ethics
  • Proactively engage with and collaborate with external departments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate account entries and perform month-end closing activities
  • Work on IN/US accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
  • Manage local periodic tax filings and reporting
  • Handle day-to-day financial operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Postings and General Ledger Postings
  • Assist in critical month-end processes, including Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Revenue Reconciliations, Financial Statement Preparation and Reporting, Variance Analysis and Commission Calculations and Financial Metric Reporting
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
  • Conduct recurring and ad-hoc financial analyses for services projects
  • Partner with other departments to address and fulfill business needs
  • Identify areas for process optimization and execute improvements to enhance efficiency
  • May perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Indian tax regulations is advantageous
  • Previous experience with Microsoft D365 Financial Operations
