Staff Accountant

Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Orem, Utah. The candidate will handle various accounting tasks such as maintaining the general ledger, processing invoices, preparing financial reports, performing reconciliations, reviewing expense reports, assisting with audits, ensuring compliance, and working one day a week in the Orem office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger by posting and verifying transactions
• Process invoices, prepare payments, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and prepare for reporting
• Review and process employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company procedures

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is a plus
