Staff Accountant

Summary

You will be responsible for financial reporting, general ledger management, compliance, process improvement, and tax preparation. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical and soft skills, including advanced Excel skills, a deep understanding of US GAAP, and experience in a service-oriented or SaaS business. Requirements

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Familiarity with US Tax regulations
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong English speaking and writing abilities
• Proficiency in ERP’s and CRM’s such as Quickbooks Online and Hubspot
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 4-6 years of experience in a service-oriented or Software as a Service business

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring timely month-end and year-end closings
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations. Lead the process for audits and regulatory filings
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and implement automation tools to improve efficiency
• Lead the preparation of Proper’s state and federal filings for compliance with Tax Laws
