Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the general ledger by recording transactions, adjustments, and journal entries
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Follow up on overdue payments
  • Reconcile customer accounts regularly
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of financial data into accounting systems
  • Maintain organized and well-documented financial records
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting standards
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certification (e.g., CPA or ACCA)
