Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger by recording transactions, adjustments, and journal entries
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Follow up on overdue payments
- Reconcile customer accounts regularly
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of financial data into accounting systems
- Maintain organized and well-documented financial records
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification (e.g., CPA or ACCA)
