Staff Accountant

Summary

Join our growing company as a Staff Accountant and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. Reporting to the CFO, you will assist with the monthly and quarterly close process, develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls, and support revenue recognition. You will maintain the general ledger, oversee account reconciliations, and partner with the CFO on audit preparation. This role requires a strong foundation in GAAP and ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct. We offer a fully remote work environment with excellent benefits.

Requirements

2–4 years of relevant accounting experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls
• Support revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and complex billing structures
• Maintain the GL and oversee account reconciliations
• Partner with CFO on audit prep, tax filings, and board/investor reporting
• Assist in scaling accounting operations as ARR grows — potentially including billing, collections, and reporting automation
• Evaluate and improve systems for scale and efficiency, specifically integrations between the incumbent ERP system, Sage Intacct, with other critical components of the tech stack, HubSpot and ClickUp
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sage Intacct highly preferred; other ERP systems acceptable (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks Online Advanced with strong controls)
• CPA preferred but not required
• Strong understanding of GAAP; revenue recognition expertise is a plus
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and hands-on
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
