This role offers the opportunity to contribute to various financial processes, including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and audit support. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the company's overall financial success.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup, technology company, or dynamic environment
- Basic knowledge of US GAAP
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support balance sheet and income statement flux analysis during the close process
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and perform regular account reconciliations, including bank accounts and prepaid expenses
- Process AP and AR transactions, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely payments, and collections
- Assist with documentation and support for internal and external audits
- Contribute to the implementation of control procedures and compliance efforts
- Assist with monthly expense accrual calculations for goods and services received but not yet invoiced
- Support the month-end close process, including reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and updates to financial statements
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations
- Contribute to various projects as assigned by the finance team
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or equivalent certification
- Experience with internal control best practices
- Experience creating accounting memos and process documentation
- Experience implementing and improving business processes and systems
- Experience with large-scale ERP systems
- Public accounting, software, and/or SaaS industry experience
- Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities and priorities in a dynamic environment
- Collaborative team player able to work with cross-functional teams
- Eagerness to learn and tackle challenges in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment
