Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s or advanced degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in private or public accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles by US GAAP and taxation
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manipulate large datasets and ensure data integrity
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and a growth mindset

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly close process
  • Prepare and record journal entries
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Track and review for accuracy expense/accrual analysis, deferred revenue, unrecorded revenue, and PP&E
  • Create and distribute monthly client billing
  • Handle collections on past-due balances
  • Serve as the primary contact for AR inquiries
  • Process cash applications
  • Manage daily client communication inbox
  • Process accounts payable invoices
  • Manage accounts payable checklist
  • Manage expense reporting across the organization
  • Facilitate new vendor setups
  • Assist the Finance team in developing and tracking forward-looking projections and forecasts
  • Support annual external audit requirements
  • File monthly or quarterly sales tax reports to taxing authorities, in which, nexus has been established
  • Maintain internal control integrity, documentation, and compliance
  • Develop new controls to resolve identified weaknesses
  • Facilitate post-merger integrations of recent acquisitions
  • Provide system support for NetSuite, Bill.com, and YayPay
  • Communicate financial information effectively
  • Build relationships across multiple teams to foster collaboration
