Requirements

  • Submitting official transcripts, diplomas, certifications and licenses may be required prior to final offer
  • Information regarding employment history as it relates to the qualifications of the position may be needed for employment verification
  • The applicant selected for employment is subject to a pre-employment background check
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with an emphasis on grant administration
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft .Excel

Responsibilities

  • Track grant budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with funding requirements
  • Review transaction coding and submit reclassifications as necessary
  • Notify management of potential over- or under-spending risks
  • Calculate and apply indirect cost allocations to grants in alignment with approved cost rates
  • Prepare and submit financial reports and reimbursement requests to grantors
  • Reconcile grant revenues and expenses to the general ledger
  • Maintain accurate and organized grant-related records and documentation for audits and reviews
  • Ensure expenses charged to grants meet allowable cost guidelines
  • Assist in gathering and preparing documentation for internal and external audits
  • Reconcile grant revenues and expenses to the general ledger
  • Assist with other account reconciliations, research variances and make necessary corrections
  • Contribute to financial statement preparation by providing accurate and timely data
  • Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review
  • Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline grant reporting, compliance processes, and month-end close activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Familiarity with government grant compliance and reporting requirements
  • Experience with Sage Intacct

Benefits
