Summary
Join Aceable's Accounting team as a Staff Accountant and work closely with the Senior Accountant, reporting to the Director of Accounting. This role offers significant exposure to leadership and growth. You will be a key contributor to the Accounting & Finance Operations (AFO) team, ensuring accurate and timely financial records, insights, and reporting. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, maintaining reconciliations, ensuring proper accounting treatment, conducting variance analyses, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 2+ years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of public and/or corporate accounting experience
- Strong technical and analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset
- Strong work ethic with a high level of initiative, teamwork, urgency, ownership, and integrity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate coding of transactions
- Prepare and maintain detailed monthly reconciliation schedules for asset & liability accounts such as prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, accrued expenses, etc. as a part of month-/quarter-/year-end financial close cycles
- Ensure and review proper technical accounting treatment for balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Complete month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter variance analyses of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Support annual financial audit engagements, including providing requested supporting documentation and any other necessary schedules and evidence to the auditors
- Effectively collaborate cross-functionally across the organization
- Other duties and special projects as assigned to you by the Director of Accounting
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA track
- Public accounting experience
- Experience using Oracle NetSuite
