Summary

Join UpKeep, a fast-growing SaaS company, as a Staff Accountant and play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of general ledger activities. You will support month-end close activities, accounts payable and receivable processes, and prepare account reconciliations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 1–2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance support role (internships included)
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with global month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes by ensuring timely customer invoicing and vendor payments
  • Prepare routine general ledger account reconciliations and assist with revenue and expense analysis
  • Assist in maintaining supporting documentation for accounting transactions in accordance with internal controls
  • Provide audit support by gathering requested documentation and preparing basic audit schedules
  • Help compile tax-related information and coordinate with external tax consultants as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with US GAAP is preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus
