Staff Product Designer

Summary

Join Contentful as a Senior Product Designer and be a key player in a cross-functional product development team. You will deeply understand user needs, lead discovery workshops, and deliver high-quality design artifacts. Responsibilities include shaping team goals, contributing to story definition, and representing team work effectively. You will run experiments, collaborate with other designers, and contribute to a design guild. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong conceptual and communication skills, and experience with design systems and user research. Experience with Generative AI is a plus. Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Be a self-starter and organized. Showcasing a proactive attitude
• Be open to trade-offs and negotiation
• Be comfortable navigating ambiguity and capable of adding clarity to the table
• Possess strong conceptual skills to design for complex scenarios
• Be a strong communicator and user advocate
• Be comfortable communicating with company leadership
• Have experience working with design systems and solid knowledge of interaction patterns
• Have experience with user research and testing
• Have experience in meeting and workshop facilitation

Responsibilities

• Deeply understand user needs, cultivating empathy across stakeholders and collaborators to ensure user-centred outcomes
• Lead and facilitate discovery workshops, fostering creativity, alignment, and AI-driven ideation within the team
• Explore solutions from multiple perspectives, championing the user’s voice throughout the process
• Deliver high-quality artefacts such as user journeys, concept maps, UI mockups, and prototypes
• Shape team goals and success metrics that align with business objectives and deliver measurable impact
• Contribute to the definition of stories and requirements, ensuring clarity and shared understanding
• Represent your team’s work effectively, whether through presentations to business stakeholders or collaborative discussions
• Run experiments and user testing and improve the user experience through iteration, exploring innovative solutions that push the boundaries of our user experience
• Collaborate with Product Designers across the organization to raise the quality bar and evolve our craft
