Summary
Join Omada Health's member experience product team as a Staff Product Designer. You will lead visual and experience design, partner with other designers to manage the design system, identify experience gaps, and drive the design process from ideation to launch. Collaboration with researchers, engineers, and data scientists is key. You'll use user-centered methodologies and craft designs aligning user needs with business goals and clinical insights. This role requires exceptional visual design skills and experience leading complex projects. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills and a passion for improving user experiences within the healthcare domain.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience turning complex problems into engaging design solutions
- At least 5 years of experience working within an โin-houseโ product team, owning the evolution of an existing product
- Strong conceptual thinking that balances user needs, business goals, and clinical insights
- Exceptional visual and experience design skills; expert at prototyping experiences as a communication tool
- Experience maintaining design systems
- Excellent communication skills that let you manage stakeholders, collaborate with partners, and articulate design decisions with ease
- Extensive experience over the design process from concept development to launch that lets you lead highly complex projects independently
Responsibilities
- Lead our visual and experience design expression and implementation across our product experience; support other designers in visual design decisions
- Partner with other designers to nurture and manage our design system
- Identify gaps and opportunities in the member and care team experience and advocate for the problems we should be solving
- Drive the design process through definition, ideation, concept development, validation, wireframing, prototyping, and final visual design (in quick, iterative cycles)
- Collaborate closely within your product team (behavioral researchers, user insights, engineering, data science and product management)
- Use user centered methodologies and tools to communicate ideas that impact the end-to-end member experience
- Craft designs that connect the dots between user needs, data, business goals, and clinical insight
- Identify opportunities to improve Omadaโs processes and systems that contribute to a stronger user-centered design organization
- Own and tackle some of Omadaโs most complex design challenges
- Lead and mentor other designers with the possibility for people management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing other designers (this is an IC role with potential for future management)
- Designed products or experiences for healthcare and/or behavior change
- Motion design skills and experience
- Collaborated with Data Scientists and/or Analysts as part of the design process
