Staff Product Designer

Requirements

• Possess a world-class portfolio showcasing a track record of designing and shipping industry-leading digital products
• Have experience running workshops and facilitating co-creation sessions
• Have experience presenting design work to senior stakeholders (C-level)
• Have experience working on cross-disciplinary teams (engineers, data scientists, product managers) to understand business goals and participate in important decisions
• Possess knowledge and experience in user psychology, research methodologies, and usage data
• Have experience mentoring mid-level and senior designers
• Have excellent English skills (verbal and written)
• Be based in Portugal or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

• Influence the quality of the craft in your line and mentor other designers
• Serve as a professional reference for the team, orienting and encouraging best practices and design principles
• Be highly proficient in interaction design, visual design, motion, and prototyping, proactively enhancing quality and designers' skills
• Generate a wide range of design solutions to achieve craft excellence and explore complex patterns
• Understand user needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape
• Collaborate with leaders of other disciplines and influence the team's roadmap, bringing a strong design perspective
• Be a great storyteller and influence senior stakeholders
• Participate and contribute to creating long-term design strategies in the company
• Give and receive constructive feedback on design solutions and working methods from your cross-discipline team
• Demonstrate exceptional prototyping skills, rapidly visualizing and exploring multiple product design directions based on hypotheses, considering technical, business, and experience goals
• Work through the entire product development process, from problem-framing to detailed UI and visual design
