Statistician

Summary

The Statistician role involves providing analytical and statistical data support using statistical software, maintaining compliance with personal health information, performing data cleaning and maintenance, creating reports and analyzing data, communicating results to various audiences, and adhering to quality management procedures. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least two years of SAS programming experience, good organizational skills, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Requirements

• Required work experience of two years’ SAS programming
• Required skills and abilities: Good organizational skills, customer service, analytical skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical or statistical concepts
• Relevant computer programming skills

Responsibilities

• Maintains strict compliance, confidentiality and security of personal health information
• Works with databases performing functions including data cleaning and maintenance; extracting data, importing/exporting data into various formats
• Develops comprehensive reports and analyzes data to identify patterns and trends
• Creates materials that aid in illustrating analytics/data findings
• Compiles, verifies, and interprets data to guide departmental efforts
• Conducts quantitative and qualitative data mining and statistical analyses using SAS, MS Access, and Excel
• Performs data analysis to create summaries and result tables
• Runs summary statistics
• Conducts research relevant to the analysis being done
• Refines database queries to generate subsets of databases and tables
• Creates clear, concise, and complete materials including reports, memos, and/or data files for submission to the client
• Create project presentations at the request of manager and other stakeholders
• Adheres to IntegrityM Quality Management (QM) Program procedures including following SOPs, DLPs, and Peer Review protocols
• Communicates with technical and non-technical end users, providing clear explanation of procedures used and results obtained from data analysis tasks
• Participates in team projects and brainstorming sessions to assess various methodologies for study designs
• Exercises appropriate discretion and independent judgment relating to company policies and practices
• Adheres to applicable policies and procedures ensuring commitment to quality, compliance, and security
• Seeks opportunities for additional training to improve skills necessary to perform job responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred education of at least a Bachelor's degree-statistics/biostatistics, mathematics, computer science, or other job related field
• Preferred work experience of two years’ experience with statistical practices and two years relational database experience. (May be concurrent)
