Summary
Join Contentful as a Strategic Account Executive and drive high-impact growth across the Northeast U.S. by leading complex sales cycles with major enterprises. This role requires a consultative sales leader who excels at building C-level relationships, navigating complex buying processes, and closing enterprise-wide deals that create long-term customer value. You will be responsible for owning a $1.5M annual quota, closing high-value deals, developing and executing a territory plan, becoming a trusted advisor, collaborating with cross-functional teams, leveraging the sales-led growth (SLG) and partner ecosystem, running strong discovery and solutioning conversations, presenting compelling business cases, responding to RFPs/RFIs, helping evolve the sales playbook, and tracking performance with full ownership over quota, KPIs, and growth accelerators.
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise SaaS/PaaS sales experience , consistently exceeding seven-figure quotas
- Proven ability to land and grow Fortune 1000 accounts with complex, multi-threaded sales cycles
- 3+ years of experience driving expansion and growth within existing enterprise customers
- Comfortable leading strategic conversations with executive stakeholders and procurement teams
- Deep experience with territory planning, account strategy, and value-based selling
Responsibilities
- Own a $1.5M annual quota across a set of named enterprise accounts (>$1B in revenue) in the Northeast U.S
- Close high-value new logo and expansion deals ranging from $150K to $1M+ ACV
- Develop and execute a territory plan that includes account segmentation, pipeline building, and stakeholder engagement
- Become a trusted advisor by building relationships across technical, business, and executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales Engineering, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver impactful outcomes
- Leverage our sales-led growth (SLG) and partner ecosystem to expand your footprint within strategic accounts
- Run strong discovery and solutioning conversations to solve digital experience and content orchestration challenges
- Present compelling, ROI-focused business cases to C-level buyers
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs with clarity and professionalism
- Help evolve our sales playbook through feedback and collaboration
- Track performance with full ownership over quota, KPIs, and growth accelerators
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of CMS, content platforms, or digital experience solutions is a strong plus
- Experience working with PLG models and partner-driven growth strategies
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC or other structured sales methodologies is a plus
- Prior experience in high-growth SaaS environments is highly desirable
