Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences vertical, gained by selling into "Big Pharma" accounts
- A consistent record of exceeding sales quotas and targets on a quarterly and annual basis
- A proven track record of selling complex software, data platforms, open-source/AI, or cloud technology solutions into large, matrixed organisations
- The ability to link technology platforms to high-impact business outcomes and build compelling, data-driven value cases
- Exceptional business acumen, high EQ, and the executive presence required to credibly engage, influence, and build consensus at the C-level
- Expertise in orchestrating complex technology partnerships using a structured value methodology (e.g., MEDDPICC, Value Selling)
- Fluency in both English and German at a business level is essential
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the client's entire business, including their corporate strategy, scientific and operational challenges, and key political and financial drivers
- Establish foundational relationships with key C-level executives and other senior stakeholders/influencers across multiple business units
- Architect and present a comprehensive strategic account vision, created in partnership with the client and the core Databricks virtual team
- Orchestrate and utilise a wider Databricks team, including field engineering, to ensure valuable outcomes for this account
- Launch high-impact customer use cases based on this strategic vision, with clear success criteria and demonstrable ROI within your first 60 days
- You will continue to cultivate a robust pipeline of new enterprise-wide use cases that drive a significant and measurable increase in platform consumption
- Build the strategic and commercial foundations required to ensure you exceed quarter-on-quarter consumption growth and revenue targets
- Act as a recognised and trusted advisor, influencing the clientβs leadership on their data and AI strategy, and articulating the value of Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform
- Demonstrate measurable progress against the client's core business outcomes, enabling them to harness data and AI to accelerate R&D innovation, enhance supply chain resilience, and ultimately improve patient outcomes by enabling faster delivery of life-changing therapies
- Ensure data integrity of all sales motions, use cases, purchase timeframes, next steps, and forecasting in Salesforce.com
