Strategic Finance Director

Summary

Join Headspace's growing Strategic Finance team as a Director, playing a key role in managing strategic finance and driving business insights. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will collaborate on high-visibility projects, provide strategic recommendations to leadership, perform in-depth analyses, and develop the strategic finance team. This role requires 8-10 years of strategic finance experience, advanced Excel skills, and strong financial modeling capabilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and excels in cross-functional collaboration. Requirements

• 8-10 Years of strategic finance experience demonstrating progressive leadership and cross-functional impact in Financial Services (Investment Banking, Asset Management, etc.) Consulting or other Corporate/Strategic Finance role
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial strategies into actionable organizational capabilities
• Advanced Excel and Presentation building skills with experience in financial modeling and presentation materials
• Proactive, thoughtful, & highly organized; able to work under tight deadlines while maintaining impeccable attention to detail
• Comfort working cross-functionally, communicating complex financial information to non-finance audiences
• Self-motivated with a passion for taking ownership of your work and delivering outcomes
• Positive attitude, optimism and willingness to learn
• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, or quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on highly visible and cross-functional projects to help prioritize resources and to aid in strategic decision making
• Provide guidance and strategic recommendations to influence our leaders on financial strategies, investments, and resource allocation decisions, leveraging an in-depth understanding of the Company's financials
• Assist in modeling longer-term business initiatives and provide recommendations that aid decision making
• Perform deep-dive analyses that drive actionable insights and recommendations for growth and optimization
• Help define and create a ROI framework used for capital allocation decisions
• Partner with several business partners to assist with on-going and ad-hoc reporting and decision support
• Mentor and develop the strategic finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a subscription related business is a plus
