Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance and/or revenue operations, preferably in a high-growth startup environment
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a proven track record of financial planning and process optimization
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation tools, and data analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and monitor the annual budget to align with company goals
  • Regularly update financial forecasts based on actual performance and changing market conditions
  • Compare actual financial performance against budgeted figures and analyze reasons for variances
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records for all financial transactions
  • Manage incoming and outgoing payments
  • Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
  • Regularly reconcile bank statements and other financial records
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Create detailed reports for internal stakeholders to aid in decision-making
  • Oversee and ensure timely, accurate filing of all required tax returns, adhering to local and federal regulations
  • Track the company's cash position to ensure it can meet its obligations
  • Manage short-term investments and credit lines to optimize liquidity
  • Analyze and control costs to improve profitability
  • Monitor and control operational expenses
  • Ensure systems are aligned with the business needs
  • Utilize accounting and financial management software to streamline operations
  • Streamline and optimize the quote-to-cash process, ensuring alignment with financial and operational systems
  • Develop accurate revenue forecasts based on historical data and market trends
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine the go-to-market strategy
  • Continuously analyze and improve the efficiency of revenue-generating processes
  • Create a single source of truth for all customer and revenue data
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness across systems
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales, marketing, and customer success
  • Analyze revenue trends, pipeline performance, and customer lifecycle metrics to inform decision-making
  • Develop and manage compensation plans for sales teams
  • Create dashboards for real-time visibility into revenue performance and key metrics
  • Generate regular reports for sales, marketing, and customer success teams to track performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide comprehensive revenue and performance reports to the board of directors
