Summary
Join Sterlington, an international law firm, as their Strategic HR Lead! This remote, full-time position requires developing and executing global HR strategies aligned with business objectives. You will partner with senior leadership, lead HR integration, and ensure global compliance. Compensation is based on experience and location. This position is not open to recruiting agency submissions.
Requirements
- BA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role preferably in a law firm or finance environment
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Proven experience managing HR functions across multiple countries
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change
- Experience in investigating and resolving employee misconduct matters and dispute resolution mechanisms
- Experience in handling ESG policies and related training
- Experience managing US immigration and compliance obligations
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, ability to adapt to the needs of the firm
- Experience implementing HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent cultural sensitivity skills to work effectively in a global context
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, often on short notice
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a global HR strategy aligned with business objectives
- Partner with the firmβs senior leadership team to forecast workforce needs and develop scalable HR solutions in the US and internationally
- Lead the integration of global HR practices to support a cohesive and inclusive organizational culture
- Oversee global compliance with labor laws, immigration, tax regulations, and employment standards in regions where the company operates
- Mitigate HR-related risks by proactively addressing legal and compliance issues
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create and develop programs to enhance team member satisfaction, engagement, and productivity
- Function as a strategic business advisor to the senior management team of the firm
- Oversee the design and delivery of onboarding and training programs to support global team members
- Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of the firm
- Lead change management initiatives to support business transformation and growth
- Provide strategic direction on organizational design and workforce restructuring
- Design competitive compensation and benefits strategies that meet the needs of a diverse workforce while being sensitive to local markets and compensation laws
- Manage relationships with external vendors for payroll, benefits, and other HR services
- Work as a team with the firmβs legal counsel to ensure legal compliance and best practices with regards to global mobility and cross-border employment issues
- Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure alignment across jurisdictions
Preferred Qualifications
MA and HR certification (SPHR, SHRM)
