Requirements

  • Master’s or higher degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Epidemiology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, policy development, or program implementation in tobacco cessation or broader public health initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret public health data and translate findings into actionable strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and healthcare providers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance tobacco cessation programs and policies
  • Conduct research and analysis on tobacco control trends, policies, and best practices to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with public health agencies, healthcare providers, advocacy groups, and policymakers to drive tobacco control initiatives
  • Design and oversee data-driven evaluations of cessation programs to measure effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing and resource mobilization efforts
  • Provide technical assistance and training to stakeholders on evidence-based tobacco cessation strategies
  • Advocate for policy changes that support tobacco-free environments and equitable access to cessation resources
  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with public health goals and regulatory frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in grant writing and resource mobilization
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local tobacco control policies and regulations
