Requirements

  • Prior expertise in pricing preferred (pricing consulting, pricing/product strategy, or product management)
  • 5+ years of experience in a transformational strategic pricing role
  • 2+ years of experience in a software technology company in a SaaS pricing role delivering strategic recommendations to leadership and developing analytical frameworks to determine the best outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail and data analysis skills – including interpretation of results and recommending actions
  • Advanced experience with data analysis, dashboarding, and financial modeling/analysis

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research on competitors in similar and adjacent markets and/or products, including competitive solutions' pricing strategies
  • Investigate & evaluate pricing and packaging strategies to take advantage of market opportunities to accelerate growth
  • Partner with the Product team to quantify market opportunities in the product roadmap. Design & lead qualitative and quantitative sales and customer research to test strategy hypothesis on pricing & packaging
  • Monitor actual value derived by customers versus the price paid and optimize price & value delivered to customers
  • Report on price realization, price trends, packaging insights
  • Be the go-to person for all things Pricing & Packaging (trainings, materials, sales kickoff meetings, consultations with AE, AM, CS, PS)
  • Partner with the GTM teams on designing relevant pricing offers to meet certain objectives (e.g., target certain accounts, market certain messages)
  • Work with Deal Desk to determine proper discounting strategy, enable flexible deal construction, strategize with sellers on pricing proposals
