Summary

The job is for a Strategic Pricing Manager in Clari's Strategy & Operations team. This role involves optimizing pricing strategies across all products and geographies, reporting to the executive team, and working closely with various teams. The position is fully remote within the United States.

Requirements

  • Prior expertise in pricing preferred (pricing consulting, pricing/product strategy, or product management)
  • 5+ years of experience in a transformational strategic pricing role
  • 2+ years of experience in a software technology company in a SaaS pricing role delivering strategic recommendations to leadership and developing analytical frameworks to determine the best outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail and data analysis skills – including interpretation of results and recommending actions
  • Advanced experience with data analysis, dashboarding, and financial modeling/analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions to form an outcome and recommendation to senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research on competitors in similar and adjacent markets and/or products
  • Investigate & evaluate pricing and packaging strategies to take advantage of market opportunities to accelerate growth
  • Partner with the Product team to quantify market opportunities in the product roadmap. Design & lead qualitative and quantitative sales and customer research to test strategy hypothesis on pricing & packaging
  • Monitor actual value derived by customers versus the price paid and optimize price & value delivered to customers
  • Report on price realization, price trends, packaging insights
  • Be the go-to person for all things Pricing & Packaging (trainings, materials, sales kickoff meetings, consultations with AE, AM, CS, PS)
  • Partner with the GTM teams on designing relevant pricing offers to meet certain objectives
  • Work with Deal Desk to determine proper discounting strategy, enable flexible deal construction, strategize with sellers on pricing proposals
