Summary

The job is for a Supplier Manager position at Laserhub, a digital platform for metal parts procurement. The role involves managing supplier relationships, evaluating suppliers, maintaining supplier data, identifying risks in the supply chain, and collaborating with Q to audit new suppliers. The ideal candidate should have a technical education or equivalent, at least 3 years of experience in strategic purchasing, commodity management, or supply chain management, and knowledge of industrial manufacturing in metal processing.

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed a technical study or equivalent
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in strategic purchasing, commodity management, or supply chain management
  • You have knowledge of industrial manufacturing in the metal processing field and cost structure for sheet metal parts/assemblies/surface finishing
  • You have basic project management skills and knowledge of ISO 9000 family (ideally VDA 6.1)

Responsibilities

  • You will steer the collaboration with our suppliers, identify potential network additions and oversee their onboarding into our processes/portal
  • You will conduct regular supplier evaluations regarding their suitability and hold development discussions
  • You will take care of the maintenance and condition management of supplier data
  • You will audit new suppliers in collaboration with Q and implement necessary measures
  • You will provide input to our product managers and developers to make the platform's processes as simple and efficient as possible for our producers
  • You will be responsible for identifying relevant risks in the network/supply chain within an effective supplier risk management framework (based on KPIs)
  • You will foster exchange among producers, network and advise/consult as a valued contact
