Support PMO Manager

Summary

Join Samsara as the Head of Support PMO and lead a team in scaling the Support PMO function. You will oversee strategic projects, build infrastructure, and drive cross-functional alignment. This role requires strong people management, project management skills, and organizational leadership. The position is remote within the US (excluding specified areas). Requirements

• 3+ years of people management experience
• 8+ years of project & program management experience
• Demonstrated ability to build program and project management infrastructure and operations
• Demonstrated organizational leadership skills, including clear communication, the ability to influence without authority, and to foster collaborative environments
• Strong communication skills, including written documentation, presentation design, and meeting management

Responsibilities

• Lead the PMO team in delivering an ambitious portfolio of strategic projects by coaching, developing, and holding employees accountable to program/project delivery, process standardization, and quality expectations
• Scale PMO operations: Scale our PMO infrastructure and operations, including project intake, project charters, project plans, and communication cadences. In addition, provide a birds-eye view of program portfolios to provide business stakeholders relevant updates
• Plan and execute on strategic roadmap: Work with Support Leadership as part of the annual planning process to develop a strategic plan for the upcoming fiscal year. Partner with program leaders across Support to execute on strategic projects to support the department’s annual operating plan
• Drive Cross-Functional Program Alignment: Align project management efforts with leaders in cross-functional departments including Sales, Success, Marketing, Product, and Technology
• Establish a Center of Excellence: Empower partner teams to leverage PMO best practices to accelerate change management across the Support organization
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
• Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification or equivalent professional certifications
• Experience in a Support or Customer Experience ecosystem
• Experience managing complex technology projects
