Systems Engineer

Summary

NuvoLogic Consulting is seeking a System Engineer to join a Scrum team supporting the SBA's Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience. The System Engineer will work on developing and implementing data analytics tools for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in system engineering, infrastructure design, or related roles
• Master’s or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and implementation of system architectures that align with the objectives of the project
• Integrate various components of the data analytics products to ensure they function together as a cohesive system
• Monitor system performance, identifying bottlenecks or areas for improvement
• Ensure that all systems are secure, following best practices in cybersecurity
• Provide technical support for systems and infrastructure, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of the project
• Develop and maintain system documentation
• Assist in planning and executing system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
• Knowledge of virtualization, networking, and system monitoring tools
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or similar are highly desirable
• Experience in public sector is preferred
