Join Noodle, a leading higher education partner, as their Manager, Talent Acquisition and People Operations for the Africa team. You will lead and manage all aspects of talent acquisition and HR operations, ensuring compliance with South African labor laws. Responsibilities include overseeing the entire recruitment process, managing onboarding, supporting performance management and talent development, and conducting exit interviews. Requirements
- At least 5 years of overall experience in HR, with a strong focus on talent acquisition and HR operations
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
- Proactive and independent with the drive to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong knowledge and practical expertise working with South African labour laws and employment regulations
- Proficient with related software: GSuite
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire recruitment process, including job advertising, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and making offers to top talent
- Build and maintain positive relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a great candidate experience, clear communication, and timely feedback
- Ensure 100% compliance with South African labour laws, specifically the Employment Equity Act (EEA), Labour Relations Act (LRA), and Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
- Oversee the preparation, completion, and timely submission of Noodle Africa's annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP), Annual Training Report (ATR), and Employment Equity Report in compliance with legislative requirements
- Manage end-to-end onboarding processes, including background checks, coordinating with the IT team to set up technology needs, and ensuring a seamless new hire experience
- Collaborate with the Manager, Culture & Engagement to support performance management and talent development initiatives
- Lead all poor performance and misconduct processes, including coaching plans, performance improvement plans (PIPs), warnings and disciplinary procedures
- Conduct exit interviews with departing employees to gather insights on the employee experience and identify potential areas for improvement in recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement
- Collaborate with Manager, Culture & Engagement to support employee engagement initiatives and identify areas for improvement in both recruitment and retention strategies
