Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience in tax compliance and/or tax technology, ideally with exposure to flow-through entities or tax-exempt organizations
- Strong tax research skills and the ability to communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with a desire to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to grow with an innovative startup
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers to support tax-related features and workflows
- Respond to tax technical questions from internal teams (Product, Client Success) and external partners
- Research and interpret tax reporting rules (federal, SALT, and international) for flow-thru and tax-exempt entities
- Monitor and analyze changes in tax laws that may impact our technology
- Assist in developing tax content and supporting documentation for the product
- Work with state taxing authorities or external advisors as needed to resolve compliance questions
- Participate in client calls to support tax-related inquiries or special projects
- Help draft internal briefs, reference materials, and training docs for non-tax stakeholders
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax workflows and user experiences in our platform
Preferred Qualifications
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with federal and state tax reporting requirements; international knowledge is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA or master’s in taxation a plus
