Summary
Join Aprio's Tax team as a Tax Manager and contribute to maximizing client opportunities. This progressive firm seeks a leader to manage and mentor a team of tax professionals. Responsibilities include developing tax strategies, providing consulting services, preparing tax returns, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 6+ years of relevant experience, and exceptional communication skills. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Recent experience working in a public accounting firm
- 6+ years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in accounting
- Experience in Individual, Corporate, S-Corp. and/or Partnership returns
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
- Experience managing a team
- Willing to work hybrid
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of tax professionals, delegating tasks and responsibilities, and overseeing the work of your team members
- Develop and implement tax strategies. This will involve staying up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations and identifying opportunities for tax planning
- Provide consulting services to clients on various tax-related issues such as mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and corporate restructuring
- Conduct tax research to stay up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations and identify opportunities for tax planning
- Prepare and review tax returns for clients, ensuring that they comply with relevant tax laws and regulations
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders, including tax authorities and other regulatory bodies, to ensure that all tax-related matters are handled effectively and efficiently
- Manage client relationships and ensure that clients are satisfied with the services provided by your team
- Train and mentor team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterβs degree in Taxation
- CPA
