Team Lead - Engineering

Join TrustYou's international Engineering team as a Team Lead in Germany, Spain, or Romania (remote). Lead and develop a team of up to 8 engineers, focusing on performance, delivery, and career growth. Collaborate with the VP of Engineering and Product Managers to ensure high-quality product development and alignment with business priorities. Maintain smooth communication with stakeholders, foster a positive team environment, and contribute hands-on when needed. This role requires strong leadership, software development expertise, and alignment with Agile principles. Requirements

• Possess over 2 years of hands-on experience in people management and leadership roles with engineering teams
• Have more than 8 years of extensive professional experience in software development, especially  working with complex systems
• Have a solid understanding of software architecture, web platforms, and big data technologies
• Are aligned with Agile and Lean software development principles
• Implement engineering best practices and prioritize quality over quantity

Responsibilities

• Own the team’s commitment to delivering results in alignment with business priorities, timelines, and engineering best practices, along with risk management
• Ensure the visibility of the team’s activities and smooth communication with all the different stakeholders
• Collaborate with the Product Managers and ensuring the quality of the product’s input, building consensus for scope selection and delivery schedules
• Collaborate with team members to establish clear goals and empowering them to achieve successful delivery of their tasks
• Take ownership of keeping the features and products available, stable, and reliable in production
• Provide technical knowledge and fostering the growth of your teammates through supporting knowledge-sharing activities and cross-skilling programs
• Ensure a positive team experience and understanding each individual’s concerns and needs
• Develop and gathering improvement proposals in terms of ways of working, technology, and tools
• Lead by example and contributing hands-on towards the team’s goals when required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in leading and/or building SaaS platforms
• Experience in leading and/or building Data analytics products
• Experience in highly scalable, end-user facing products
• Experience working with Python, Kafka, or modern frontend frameworks like React
