Join Maravai LifeSciences as a Technical Business Development Manager and become a key member of the Sales Department, reporting to the VP, BD, and Technical Marketing division. This EMEA-focused role is responsible for revenue development through technical sales and marketing initiatives, distributor support, and market intelligence. You will be an evangelist for Cygnus technology, attending conferences, interacting with customers, and supporting distributors. The position requires a strong background in customer-facing roles within the life sciences industry, deep understanding of bioprocessing and bioanalytics, and exceptional communication skills. Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Biosciences with at least 5 years of experience in the life sciences industry
- Strong background in customer-facing roles such as sales, business development, or technical consulting
- Deep understanding of downstream bioprocessing and bioanalytical sciences, with the ability to translate technical data into customer-centric solutions
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth in the life sciences industry, particularly in bioprocessing and bioanalytics
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver technical sales presentations across various stakeholders
- Proven experience in account management, business negotiation, and strategic development to drive growth and customer success
Responsibilities
- Be an evangelist for Cygnus technology continuing to build Cygnus brand equity and drive Cygnus revenue to achieve financial targets
- Attend scientific conferences and trade shows, interact with existing and potential customers at Cygnus booth, present posters and/or technology talks
- Support Cygnus international distributors in the Asia Pacific Region
- Provide market intelligence and VOC to internal R&D and marketing teams to drive new product development and awareness for emerging applications of existing products
- Monitor competitor actions and market dynamics and inform R&D and marketing teams
- Communicate customer needs to all internal teams
- Utilize Salesforce.com to track customer interactions and opportunities
- Perform other functions and duties as required
Preferred Qualifications
MS or PhD preferred
