Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, plus at least eight years of relevant experience in organizational learning and facilitation working on complex international development programs
  • Proven successful organizational learning and facilitation teamβ€―lead experience
  • Experience working on USAID-funded projects
  • Experience in facilitating learning events, including pause-and-reflect meetings, after-action reviews, workshops, and retreats
  • Demonstrated experience in both strategic planning and adaptive management, including the USAID principles of collaboration, learning, and adapting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficient in web-based technology, social media, and digital strategy
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team with high sensitivity and cultural competence

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate learning processes (e.g., workshops, meetings, collaborative sessions) to promote continuous improvement in technical approaches, investments, strategic priorities, and operations
  • Support the planning and execution of pause-and-reflect sessions to encourage reflection and adaptation across the organization
  • Assist in the design, facilitation, and monitoring of Theory of Change workshops and retreats
  • Facilitate team learning engagements, such as team-building activities, vision/mission development sessions, retreats, and after-action reviews
  • Provide organizational development support to improve the performance and effectiveness of individual offices and teams
  • Promote peer-to-peer learning and collaboration among networks of stakeholders who share responsibility for instituting best practices and achieving organizational priorities
  • Enable USAID teams to lead key initiatives by providing backbone support to working groups, secretariats, and other multi-stakeholder collaboration structures
  • Support USAID offices and teams in establishing new collaboration frameworks, fostering cross-office learning, and managing strategic initiatives adaptively
  • Other relevant duties as assigned
