Summary
Join Common App, a national non-profit organization, as a Technical Product Manager. You will play a critical role in the success of the Common Application system by driving the definition, development, and roll-out of technical solutions. This position requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and involves acting as a product owner within an Agile framework. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in product management, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and experience with Agile scrum methodology. Requirements
- Live in the United States
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year college or university; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Have 4-6 years of successful, progressive experience in a product management or related position working closely with modern web-based software solutions
- Be a skilled project manager with a proven ability to scope, develop, track and accurately manage technical products, including deliverables, timelines and follow through
- Possess strong problem-solving, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills
- Have highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to build solid relationships and support among a broad range of people and positions
- Be able to work effectively in a collaborative and diverse environment and take initiative in individual contributor work
- Possess strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively support and lead teams productively in a matrixed team environment
- Demonstrate self-guided initiative
Responsibilities
- Drive the definition, development, and roll-out of technical solutions
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align product development with business processes, user needs, and organizational goals
- Act as a product owner within an Agile framework
- Ensure effective communication
- Manage priorities
- Support the successful launch and adoption of Common App solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience in Agile scrum methodology as a product owner
- Have experience in higher education enrollment management
