Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of experience in the delivery of software development projects combined with government contracts industry experience
  • Experience fulfilling client software development lifecycle requirements using Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Ability to grasp technical development concepts quickly and communicate them to technical and non-technical staff, based on past experience on software development projects
  • Experience planning, organizing, and controlling assigned activities from conceptual to final stages of the development lifecycle to meet performance objectives and customer satisfaction metrics
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence or a similar story-tracking tool
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts and ability to support a DevOps team
  • Familiarity with data management concepts and ability to support a Data Management team
  • Familiarity with security management concepts and ability to support a Security team
  • Excels at establishing trust and fostering positive relationships with clients and fellow team members
  • Excellent diplomacy and communication skills with both clients and technical staff
  • Ability to place the success of the team and project ahead of self
  • Ability to learn a new business area quickly
  • Experience working with federal government clients

Responsibilities

  • Gather and define requirements
  • Oversee specific initiatives through to resolution or completion
  • Identify process improvements and implement them as appropriate
  • Work with the development teams to create schedules and release plans
  • Analyze trends and offer solutions; look for opportunities for improvement
  • Escalate and track program-level-related impediments
  • Facilitate and oversee collaboration across teams and with program management
  • Participate in program-level, cross-team stakeholder communication
  • Conduct people management responsibilities, such as performance reviews

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in a JavaScript-based development environment
  • Prior work experience in an AWS environment
  • Prior work experience as a technical project manager or similar role
