Technical Project Manager

Summary

Join OpenVPN as a Technical Project Manager to lead and manage our development team. This role requires a bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science, 3+ years of experience in project management within networking or security, and a strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies. You will oversee the development process, act as a Scrum master, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science
• Experience as Senior developer and/or Tech Lead
• Understanding of networking and security concepts
• At least 3 years of experience leading software development projects in networking or security as a Project Manager
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget
• Proven experience in creating project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and contingency planning
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines, resources, and scope
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria
• Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and contingency planning
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and progress
• Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and adapt plans as necessary to ensure project success
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by conducting post-project reviews and applying lessons learned to future projects
• Take ownership of the project and drive the software development process through all stages of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
• Review and improve the performance of individual team members

Preferred Qualifications
