Summary

Join Bosch Rexroth as a Technical Sales Specialist and drive sales growth for Hägglunds Drive technologies. You will develop strong customer relationships, promote products and services, and contribute to the company's long-term success. This remote position, based in Western Canada, requires a strong technical background and sales experience in hydraulic drive systems. Responsibilities include market analysis, customer engagement, technical solution proposals, and sales reporting. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and organizational skills and is comfortable with domestic and international travel.

Requirements

  • Be a Mechanical Engineer/Technologist or graduate of a Certified Fluid Power/Robotics program (or equivalent)
  • Have 5+ years of sales/marketing experience in promoting Hydraulic Drive Systems products to industrial accounts
  • Possess inventory planning experience in industrial products
  • Have a strong technical background and aptitude
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills including project management
  • Have strong, effective communication and listening skills
  • Possess a high sense of urgency and customer focus
  • Be effective at creating vision and goal setting, be a self-starter and driver
  • Be Empathic to the needs of others
  • Be able to travel domestically and some internationally as required to customer sites for meetings, start-ups, commissioning, technical reviews, etc

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Hägglunds Drive components, technical/product/specialty areas and service offerings
  • Seek and analyze local market intelligence and information about potential and existing customers to develop and deliver sales and profit targets and objectives
  • Continuously develop and understand the company’s customers, competitors and business environment
  • Utilize value-selling techniques to understand our customers’ businesses and offer solutions that both enhance and improve our customers’ offering, ensuring Bosch Rexroth is a preferred business partner
  • Effectively sell company products and services through planned and regular customer contact and field visits
  • Take responsibility for all customer enquiries promptly and converting these opportunities into sales and sustainable business
  • Propose technical system solutions to customers as required
  • Negotiate contracts and review commercial terms and conditions in line with agreed discount and margin rules
  • Prepare detailed quotations and specifications ensuring customer requirements are fulfilled and accurate information is available for system design/drawings, projects or order processing
  • Ensure timely documenting of relevant data by organizing and maintaining customer interaction within the companies CRM system (e.g. customer contact details, company information, visit reporting, opportunity management etc.)
  • Produce and develop monthly reports to support department controls and performance improvements in line with company standards and reporting requirements (e.g. sales activity reports, competitor analysis)
  • Work at all levels with existing and prospective customers to understand their business and identify their future business plans, ensuring Bosch Rexroth (Hägglunds) is the best possible partner to support their future needs
