Summary

Join LGC Clinical Diagnostics as a Technical Sales Specialist to expand the Seraseq portfolio of reference materials across the United States. This role requires a strong background in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and a passion for customer engagement and business development. You will identify and develop new sales opportunities, expand existing customer relationships, and deliver technical presentations. Responsibilities include providing consultative sales support, maintaining strong customer relationships, and collaborating with internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a biological field and 2-5 years of hands-on NGS experience. Strong presentation and communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience in a biological field (e.g., Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biochemistry); Masterโ€™s or Ph.D. preferred
  • 2-5 years hands-on experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and related molecular biology techniques
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a broad audience
  • Strong computer skills required, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work remotely and prioritize effectively

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities within potential customer accounts
  • Expand existing customer relationships by uncovering additional product needs and applications
  • Drive sales growth through proactive outreach, including cold calls, emails, and virtual meetings
  • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to educate customers on the benefits of Seraseq reference materials
  • Understand and address customer challenges related to assay validation, quality control, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide consultative sales support to help customers select appropriate reference materials for their specific applications
  • Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure high retention and satisfaction
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing and product management, to support customer needs
  • Track and report sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends
  • Evaluate market opportunities, conduct initial analysis of market opportunities to include return on investment, Service offerings, new markets
  • Cultivate and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, client operations, and competitive offerings to effectively position LGC Diagnostics & Genomics products
  • Effectively represent LGC in various market-facing roles
  • Demonstrate flexibility and collaboration in responding to the business needs โ€“ both internal and external โ€“ by addressing significant corporate initiatives as requested by management

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in technical sales, account management, or customer-facing scientific support is a plus
