Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Marketing, or a related field
• Certifications in SEO or digital marketing are a plus (e.g. Google Search Engine Optimization Certification)
• Proven experience in technical SEO, with a focus on driving organic traffic and improving website performance
• Deep understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
• Experience conducting technical SEO audits and identifying optimization opportunities
• Proficiency in using SEO tools and platforms (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush)
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and website development platforms
• Ability to interpret and analyze technical data
• Knowledge of web server configuration and optimization and understanding of website architecture and sitemaps
• Experience with XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and redirects
• Familiarity with server-side programming languages (e.g. PHP, Python)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A passion for learning and staying up to date on SEO trends

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive technical SEO audit to identify website optimization opportunities
• Develop and implement a technical SEO strategy aligned with overall business objectives
• Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO trends and best practices
• Collaborate with our web development team to optimize website architecture for search engines and user experience
• Improve page loading speed through technical optimizations
• Ensure proper implementation of structured data and schema markup
• Build and manage high-quality backlink profiles
• Conduct link audits and disavow harmful links
• Monitor and analyze competitor backlink strategies
• Utilize SEO tools to track website performance, identify keyword opportunities, and analyze competitor data
• Stay proficient in using industry-standard SEO tools
• Track and report on key SEO metrics, including organic traffic, rankings, and conversions
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate closely with the content team to ensure content is optimized for SEO
• Work with our developers to implement technical SEO recommendations
• Partner with marketing teams to align SEO efforts with overall marketing strategies
• Work with our Content and Product Marketing teams to document tips-and-tricks and the benefits of SEO performance optimization within a Storyblok environment that will result in high performing content for our prospects
