Technical Writer

Summary

Join Data Ideology as a Technical Writer on a contract-to-hire basis! With at least two years of experience, you'll be responsible for crafting clear and concise release notes for our software applications. This remote position requires strong grammar, attention to detail, and proficiency in technical documentation software. You'll collaborate with development teams, utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies, and manage documentation tasks in Azure DevOps. Healthcare experience is a plus. The role involves working Monday-Friday with specific hours depending on client needs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in technical writing
• Experience with Scrum methodologies and participation in Scrum ceremonies
• Proficiency in technical documentation software tools (ie MadCap Flare)
• Azure DevOps experience
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow style guides

Responsibilities

• Create clear and concise release notes for software applications
• Take ownership and manage workloads, meet deadlines, and ensure content accuracy
• Follow the Style Guide and Microsoft Manual of Style, conducting peer reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance user documentation
• Represent the documentation team in meetings for guidance and clarification
• Understand Agile/Scrum methodology and software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with development teams and attend Scrum ceremonies to stay updated on product changes
• Write and maintain release notes in technical documentation software
• Track and manage documentation tasks in Azure DevOps
