Summary

The job is for a Technical Writer with Section 508 experience supporting EHR modernization, responsible for editing and preparing project deliverables for accessibility compliance. The role is remote-based with potential travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years' experience
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance

Responsibilities

• Work on all phases of documentation; assist in the preparation of documents and supports the development of contract deliverables and reports
• Review and edit deliverable content for Section 508 accessibility compliance
• Stay up to date on Section 508 standards and best practices
• Edit functional descriptions, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables or document, conducting research and ensuring the use of proper technical terminology
• Reviews and edits project deliverables such as technical documents, policies, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides, manuals and technical publications
• Preparing reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years in a related technical or clinical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
• 5 + years of experience of 508 technical writing
• Experience editing material for punctuation, grammar, and content
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
• Strong and effective communication and presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Knowledge of Federal documentation standards , processes, and 508 compliancy
