Remote Technical Writer

Summary

Join our team as a Technical Writer to review and publish technical documents, working closely with IE engineers to create procedures for production, maintenance, repair, upgrade, and installation of systems.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skill in English
• Able to work with international teams and drive immediate effectivity and efficiency
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and stakeholders
• Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
• Work according to a strict set of procedures within the provided timelines
• Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy

Responsibilities

• Review and publish technical documents generated by IE engineers
• Work closely with IE engineers on procedures needed for production, maintenance, repair, upgrade, and installation of systems via dynamic publishing software environment
• Develop a thorough understanding of the audience and documentation requirement by working closely with internal team
• Analyze current content and make improvements as necessary
• Prepare and review graphics & illustrations to elaborate on technical writing
• Work with IE engineers and Product Safety team to ensure that the finished documentation meets technical & safety requirement
• Translate documentation from Chinese to English, and transfer documentation to XML format & publish to dynamic publishing system
• Maintain comments tool by regularly monitoring the comments created from documentation audience, assigning the comments to correct owners, and solving non-technical comments
