Technical Writer

Summary

The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving technical documents, working with engineers and the Product Safety team to ensure accuracy and compliance. Good communication skills in English are required, as is the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to work with international teams and drive immediate effectivity and efficiency
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and stakeholders
• Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
• Work according to a strict set of procedures within the provided timelines
• Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy

Responsibilities

• Review and publish technical documents (procedures, manuals, etc)
• Work closely with IE engineers on procedures for production, maintenance, repair, upgrade, and installation of systems
• Ensure finished documentation meets technical & safety requirements
• Translate documentation from Chinese to English, and transfer documentation to XML format & publish to dynamic publishing system
• Maintain the comments tool by regularly monitoring the comments created from documentation audience, assigning the comments to correct owners, and solving the non-technical comments
