Requirements

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Greece with active certification in your practicing jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in emergency, critical care, or occupational health
  • Experience or interest in telehealth or remote care delivery
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth technologies
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations, especially in emergency medical scenarios
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying time zones for global maritime operations

Responsibilities

  • Provides telehealth support and guidance to seafarers in the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized treatment programs
  • Monitor and manage telehealth operations, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Implements clinical and technical aspects of care, intervenes with safety techniques and procedures, and supports the implementation of medical plans and diagnostic testing
  • Review and analyze patient data, health outcomes, and service utilization data to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and guide decision-making
  • Documents nursing encounters using charting in the telehealth platform and attends mandatory staff meetings and training
  • Communicates information to nursing staff, physicians, and other staff members as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or similar
  • Previous experience working onboard ships as a medic is a plus
