Requirements

  • Ability to analyze training needs, design effective learning experiences, and create engaging training materials (Instructional Design)
  • Proficiency in developing training content such as presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, and multimedia materials (Content Development)
  • Understanding of the subject matter being taught, Veteran healthcare and technology (Subject Matter Expertise)
  • Clear and effective communication is crucial for explaining concepts, facilitating discussions, and presenting information (Communication Skills)
  • Capability to conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars in-person or virtually, and engage participants effectively (Facilitation and Presentation)
  • Ability to assess training needs, evaluate training outcomes, and continuously improve training programs based on feedback and results (Evaluation and Assessment)
  • Willingness to adapt to changes in technology, training methods, or organizational needs (Adaptability and Flexibility)
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including learners, subject matter experts, managers, and executives (Stakeholder Management)
  • Capability to identify issues during training delivery and find effective solutions promptly (Problem-solving Skills)
  • Comfort with using various digital tools and software for content creation, delivery, and management (Technology Proficiency)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Psychology, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Develop a digital product training plan that encompasses all tools, techniques, and strategies for creating new and updating existing training materials
  • Create new and update existing training materials for each of the 15-20 digital product lines
  • Utilize VA-owned content management system (CMS) templates to post and launch updated training materials to the appropriate training portal on the specific VA platform
  • Deliver digital product trainings to Veterans, their caregivers, and VA staff in a virtual setting
