UI Intern

Summary

Join us and help Take Us There. In this position, you will be part of a 9-week Global Intern program, where you will work with other developers, architects, test engineers and product management in the development of real-time fixed income trading systems.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree program
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States permanently without employment visa sponsorship required now or in the future
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript. TypeScript is a plus
• Experience with popular JS frameworks. ReactJS preferred
• Knowledge of HTTP protocol
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with unit testing
• Familiarity with Git
• Experience working with modern IDEs and command terminals. IntelliJ IDEA preferred
• Knowledge of backend technology is a plus, NodeJS or Java

Responsibilities

• Join a development team where you will be under supervision of technologists and participate in team scrum meetings
• Understand business requirements and how to translate them into technical designs
• Work on a software project that solves a real need for MarketAxess
• Participate in software design, development, testing, bug-fixes, and code reviews
• Translate designs and wireframes into functional UI components and layouts
• See your creation come into existence and use by the end of the summer program
