UX Design Lead

Summary

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or related fields
• BA/BS degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, etc
• Portfolio or case studies demonstrating design process, shipped work, and impact for digital products and services across web and mobile (required for consideration)
• Experience leading a design team
• Experience working on cross-functional product teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver quality products at scale
• Strong core product design skills: visual design, prototyping, and interaction design
• Excellent knowledge of mobile and front-end web standards and development
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and advocate for design decisions

Responsibilities

• Lead 1-2 product designers through collaboration, feedback, and direction
• Address design problems from start to finish: translating product insights into features, then designing workflows and interactions
• Integrate needs from Product, Engineering, and Marketing into comprehensive design deliverables
• Present and communicate design direction, decisions, and rationale to other teams
• Collaborate with product managers to establish timelines, delivery, and priorities
• Support product development with wireframes, user flows, journey maps, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and evaluative research
